Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG with its headquarters in Friedrichshafen, Germany, is a specialist for large engines, propulsion systems and distributed energy systems, and previously operated under the name of Tognum AG.
We develop, produce and service engines, propulsion and energy systems marketed under the MTU and the MTU Onsite Energy brand names and also manufactured by Bergen Engines AS. They are used to drive ships, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles, to operate industrial facilities and to generate emergency, base load and peak load power. Our subsidiary L’Orange supplies fuel injection systems for large engines.
Rolls-Royce plc. and Daimler AG each has a 50% shareholding in Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG. The company, which employs about 11,000 people, is fully consolidated in the results of Rolls-Royce plc.
MTU is one of the leading manufacturers of large diesel engines and complete propulsion and drive systems for marine applications, for heavy land, rail and defense vehicles, and for the oil and gas industry.
MTU Onsite Energy provides complete, dependable diesel and gas power generation solutions wherever reliability is needed.
L’Orange’s offering encompasses the entire range of products in injection technology for all off-highway applications in ship propulsion systems, special-application vehicles and power plants.
Bergen Engines supplies medium-speed Rolls-Royce engines for marine and power generation applications, and for the oil and gas industry.
Rolls-Royce Power Systems business remained stable in first-half year
Friedrichshafen, July 31, 2014. The 2014 half-year report published by the Rolls-Royce Group shows revenues for the “Power Systems” segment of £1.214 billion (€1.473 billion). This represents 17% of the total revenues generated by Rolls-Royce.
