You can apply very easily online. Just select the desired position under the job openings and click on “apply.” You can then prepare the application in your personal career area. With the online application, we make sure that your documents go directly to the correct contact person and that we can process them as quickly as possible.

Please have the following documents on hand for your application: Cover letter, resume, school, training and employment certificates, final transcript or current grade report, additional documentation and an application photo (if you wish).

Please address your cover letter to the contact person noted at the bottom of the job description.

The job openings listed on our website are always current. As soon as a position is filled, the posting is removed from the website.

There is no application deadline. You are welcome to apply as long as a position is posted.

After successful submission of your online application, you will first receive an automatic confirmation of receipt via email. In some cases, this e-mail may be in your spam folder. This often occurs with GMX and WEB email addresses in particular. Further contact is made by e-mail or phone. If your application looks promising, we will invite you to an interview.

Because of the high number of applications received each year, we accept unsolicited applications only for specific areas. You can check under “Job openings -- Unsolicited applications” whether and for which department we are currently accepting applications. We also invite you to keep informed about current job openings at Rolls-Royce Power Systems Group. You are welcome to register for our job assistant on our website. You will then automatically be informed about job openings that match your profile.

With registration you gain access to your personal career area. Here you can prepare, submit and manage your applications on your own and with the greatest possible flexibility. It is then possible, for example, to submit additional documents later or change your contact data easily and quickly.

We offer secondary school students one-week trial internships in various professions in Friedrichshafen, for example in metalworking, electronics, business or engineering professions. If you are over 18 years of age and have four to eight weeks of time in the summer to take a job, please apply online for our posted positions [link to “career area”]. The job postings are published on our website in April or May of each year. Please indicate your exact period of availability in the cover letter.

For a vacation job we need:
• A short cover letter with indication of the desired work period
• Resume
• Grade reports
• If applicable, matriculation certification, acceptance notification, school certification or conscription notification

Starting in June of each year, a six-week pre-internship is offered in the area of mechanical engineering in the Freidrichshafen location. You can apply for this online starting in March.

Whether in the U.S., Great Britain, Australia or Singapore - twice a year, at the beginning of the March and September semesters you are able to begin an internship. We offer you a wide internship package which includes a flat, contacts in Germany and abroad, support in organizing the required visa etc. so that you can go abroad and start your internship without worry. The length of the internship is six months. The positions are published on our website half a year before they start. Please apply online six months prior to the starting date. Enrollment is required during the whole period of your internship.

Please enclose a current grade report, final transcripts, certificates and a current matriculation certification with your cover letter and resume. For an internship abroad we also need the cover letter and resume in English.

Yes they are. The payment depends on the particular employment relationship.

Yes, this is sometimes possible. During your online application you have the possibility to specify your desired period. In addition we recommend you to indicate the period also in your cover letter. The responsible department will check if the beginning of your employment relationship is flexible. Please consider that we can only hire you in the beginning of a new month.

In this case the start date is not fixed. However, please keep in mind that we only hire at the beginning of a new month.
